Moulded GRP-Gratings
Moulded GRP-gratings are produced in a negartive mould. Depending on the grating type, height, pitch and bar width the appropriate mould is selcted. The the glass fibres are woven in a bond into the form. The number and position of the glass fibres is determined for each type. The resin mix is produced in a mixing tool. The mix consits of the following resins: isophtalic resin, colour pigmentsm additves for fire behaviour and UV-inhibitors. The mix is then also poured into the mould, the glass fibres are pressed once more with a comb and the mould gets heated. Heating hardens the material. When the grating has cooled down, it is pressed out of the mould.
Lichtgitter has a wide rande of different grating types and panel dimensions. In addition to the stocked panels, many other designs, dimensions and colours can be produced. Standard panels can be cutted into individual dimensions. Cutting is carried out on modern CNC machines and panel saws.
We are the first company, which receive the so-called "Bauaufsichtliche Zulassung (abZ)" of the German Institute for Construction Technology (DIBT) for GRP-gratings. This required a lenghty certification process and various destructive and non-destructive product tests. The production and the monitoring of the test is regularly audited by DIBT-accredited agencies.
